Betchu Sports began as an idea almost a decade ago when founder Michael Fisher found himself making small challenges with friends in college over a beer or a few bucks. Mike grew up an avid fan of New York sports teams (Giants, Yankees, Rangers), and loved all the banter, trash talk, and casual challenges he’d make with friends. One particular friend would continuously get under Mike’s skin because he would never pay up when he lost. This is where the idea of Betchu was first born. The original premise was to create an app where friends could send challenges to each other on various sporting events, where the winner automatically gets sent the winning funds.
